3. Upgrading
Backup Xpresso
Users who use previous
version of Backup Xpresso can upgrade minor version (2.0 -> 2.x) for
free and major version (1.x -> 2.x) by paying update fee.
Upgrading license from Backup Xpresso:
- Start Backup Xpresso and open About Backup Xpresso dialog. Click
Registration button to take
your Site Code;
- Click Get
Registration Code link that leads to your account area;
If you are upgrading major version:
- On the Registrations
page click Purchase upgrade for
Backup Xpresso;
- Enter number of licenses you want to upgrade
and go through usual purchase process;
- After you purchased upgrade for at
last one license, go to the Registration
page and click Upgrade license to
the latest version of Backup Xpresso and obtain Registration Code;
- To obtain Registration Code use Site
Code generated by the version
of Backup Xpresso you want to upgrade to (at this point
Registration Code obtained for Site Code generated by the older version of
Backup Xpresso is deactivated);
- Register Backup Xpresso on your station
with Registration Code obtained.
If you are upgrading minor version:
- Go to the Registration
page and click Upgrade license to
the latest version of Backup Xpresso and obtain Registration Code;
- To obtain Registration Code use Site
Code generated by the version
of Backup Xpresso you want to upgrade to (at this point
Registration Code obtained for Site Code generated by the older version of
Backup Xpresso is deactivated);
- Register Backup Xpresso on your station
with Registration Code obtained.

Issues
- Get
Registration Code link from About Backup Xpresso dialog that
should lead to your account area on the site doesn’t
start Browser if Mozilla is a default system browser.
Workaround: Go to My
Account area on the site or to http://www.backupxp.com/signin.phtml
URL directly.
